- drinking something cool, alcohol optional, and reading in the sun. (or hiding out in an air conditioned mall if it's TOO hot)

1. i found this site through mommietalk. i had my first baby on january 3rd this year - jake. i spend loads of time at mommietalk trying to be sure i'm doing this mommy thing right. jake takes up lots of my time and makes it hard for me to type -- which is why it took me 3 days to post this comment.
2. i don't know you -- except from mommietalk. we've posted on each other's topics i'm sure. it's been a joy to read your blog. knowing that there are other mom's going through very similar things that i am is very reassuring to me. i, too, am a stay at home mom for now and a lot of what i read that you have written has really made me say "that's exactly how i feel". thank you for writing.
3. my favorite way to spend a hot summer day used to be at the beach. but now that i have a six month old, i can't imagine that it would be at all relaxing. these days i love to stay in my newly central air conditioned home and play with toys with jake and sing songs.
4. your pictures are great! i love that our children's generation will have all these websites for memories.
5. i don't have a personal website but we have a family one that we post monthly photo galleries of jake on. www.lacouture.net/lt_index.htm. it's nothing fancy and is more for us than anyone else. but you're welcome to check it out. other websites i visit are MT, of course, and various other journals and blogs.
i hope you don't mind me reading. like i said, it makes me feel a little more confident in what i'm doing to know that others are doing it the same way.
